This beautiful book is dreamy and spacey and makes you feel good all over. It’s less of a deep dive into self-care, as an activity for you to partake in AS an act of self care! Similar to a comic book or graphic novel, the art does most of the talking, but the language of this cosmic version of self-care is pretty and poetic, and adds to the depth and warmth of the art work.
Robin Eisenberg is one of my favourite artists/illustrators of the last few years. If you’ve checked your horoscope on Vice’s Astro Guide any time in the last few years, you’ve seen a little bit of the whimsical and colourful vibes that fill Robin’s personal universe.
Like the rest of her art, the body types and colours of every character are different, as are their personal styles. our sexy space chicks have stretch marks and hips, afros, small titties, big butts, long hair, short hair, and are in varying stages of undress! The characters assumed to be couples are diverse, as are the activities they’re partaking in and the cool space pads they live in! The one thing they all seem to have in common? A love of space pizza and pets – respect!
This is a book you can pick up at any time for some inspiration, a lil empowerment, relaxation or even just something pretty to rest your eyeballs on.
This isn’t a very long book, and as such my review isn’t very long either – fortunately I don’t need much space to say this is a beautiful 5 crystal ball book! I picked this up for a read when I was feeling very down, and by the end I felt like a beautiful star goddess in a cosmic spa with my extraterrestrial kitty by my side. It’s so easy to get a little lost in the scenery, making it a great tool for mindfulness and just… slowing down your brain. I loved it.
I think the following was my favourite written message in the whole book, and something I personally really needed.
“Your glow won’t be dimmed by the brightness of those around you.”

Good to see you liked this one. I bought so many little hard cover witchie books during lockdown that have turned out to be pretty but gormless. I’ll be looking out for this one.
